Red Dwarf is one of my favourite sitcoms of all time. I’ve had the DVDs of series 1 to 8 from the BBC for quite some time, along with Blu-rays of the newer episodes shown on Dave. But when they released a Blu-ray set of series 1 to 8 in January, with extra material I hadn’t had before, I decided it was a good time to upgrade and bought it.
I’ve been happily binge-watching the set over the past month since then. It’s been a while since I last watched those earlier shows, so it’s been great to revisit them, and they’re still very enjoyable. So I thought I’d do a review of the set, along with an unboxing video to go with it. I’ve added a few short opinions of the Blu-ray sets for the Dave shows produced so far at the end as well.
The set cost me £37.72 from Amazon, though the price has since gone up at the time of writing. I bought it with my own money, and I’m not sponsored by or affiliated with anybody connected with the product. I just wanted to tell you about it now I’ve finished watching it all. So all opinions are my own.

As well as having adventures in London, I’ve also been enjoying lots of TV shows, radio programmes, podcasts, films and music this year. And yet I’ve only wrote about some of it. So I wanted to bring that side of things up to date. Then in 2018 I want to start doing monthly favourites posts, like other bloggers do.
I’ve also done a video on this topic as well, although this post will mention a few things that I forgot to mention in that clip too.
Be aware that this generally doesn’t include anything I watched over Christmas (with a couple of notable exceptions), as there’s going to be a separate post about my Christmas favourites from this year. I’ll also be doing a separate post listing the DVDs I’ve bought during the year, as I haven’t done an update on those for ages, so this post won’t mention those either.
So I hope you enjoy looking through this list of what I’ve enjoyed during 2017. Feel free to let me know your favourites too!

In October and November most years, in the run-up to Christmas, there are always a few new releases that I want to get. Most of the music I get now is downloaded, but occasionally I’ll buy a physical set for one reason or another.
So here’s the music I’ve bought over the past couple of months – by Madness, Status Quo, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Howard Goodall, Derek & The Dominos, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and a little known band called Cherry Suede. Yes, I’ve been treating myself a little bit – but then I haven’t bought this much music for a while. It’s all come along at once!
