Hello again. Hope you’re all keeping well and have been enjoying the summer safely. Thank you for the many birthday wishes too, they were much appreciated. I went out to celebrate the occasion, and bought a few things to treat myself, which I’ll mention during this post.
Apart from that, I’ve been out for a few walks, and have continued to keep myself occupied and entertained in various ways at home. So as always there’s plenty to mention for the month in this latest post and video, none of which is sponsored or gifted. I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to the final part of my Christmas Favourites trilogy for 2019, following on from my Out & About and Food posts, this time looking at the TV, movies and audio entertainment that caught my attention during December. I’ve now published a video to go with all three posts too. As before, I’ve not been paid or gifted by anybody, so these are all my own opinions. Hope you enjoy!

Happy New Year everybody! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and that 2018 is a joyful and prosperous year for you. 🙂
I’m very much looking forward to the year ahead after an eventful and successful 2017, which you can read about in my 2017 review post. I posted quite a bit over the holiday period in fact, including my entertainment favourites for the year, and a big Christmas Q&A about how I spend Christmas in general, with photos and video footage of me enjoying Christmas as a child. So do go back and check my recent posts if you were busy celebrating and missed them.
For this post I just wanted to quickly bring you up to date with how my Christmas went. I’ve also filmed a video to go with this, which has my general reflections on 2017 as well. If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll have seen some of the photos I posted over Christmas – and I’m going to try and make more use of Instagram this year if I can as well. So I hope you enjoy my little Christmas update, tying up the loose ends before I enjoy the year ahead!

As well as having adventures in London, I’ve also been enjoying lots of TV shows, radio programmes, podcasts, films and music this year. And yet I’ve only wrote about some of it. So I wanted to bring that side of things up to date. Then in 2018 I want to start doing monthly favourites posts, like other bloggers do.
I’ve also done a video on this topic as well, although this post will mention a few things that I forgot to mention in that clip too.
Be aware that this generally doesn’t include anything I watched over Christmas (with a couple of notable exceptions), as there’s going to be a separate post about my Christmas favourites from this year. I’ll also be doing a separate post listing the DVDs I’ve bought during the year, as I haven’t done an update on those for ages, so this post won’t mention those either.
So I hope you enjoy looking through this list of what I’ve enjoyed during 2017. Feel free to let me know your favourites too!

February 2021 Introduction:
Welcome to another set of my old journal entries. It’s fair to say this was a month of mixed fortunes for the UK, particularly in London, and especially in the first week when so much happened in quick succession. I wasn’t living in London at the time, I was far away in Devon, but the events were so significant and dominated the news so heavily that I naturally wrote a lot about them.
On the one hand London hosted one of the massive worldwide Live 8 concerts, that gave us a lot of entertainment while sending an important message. Plus the city won the bid to host the 2012 Olympics, which was fantastic news. But all of that was quickly overshadowed by the bomb attacks on London’s transport network. And if reading about those is likely to upset you, then please feel free to skip some or all of this post as you feel necessary.
There are little updates about me in amongst all of that as well though, relating to my career and entertainment, and there are other bits of news I mention too. So even though some of this isn’t cheerful, I hope you find it an interesting look back nonetheless.
