Welcome to the second of my Christmas Favourites posts for this year. In the previous post I wrote my about festive food and fashion, and in the next post you’ll find everything else I’ve done while out and about this Christmas. So here I’m going to talk about the entertainment I’ve been enjoying on TV, radio and online.
Note: I continued to update this post into the new year to keep everything together. So despite the publication date, the final revision was actually on January 15th 2019.
So I hope you’ve enjoyed your Christmas, and I hope you enjoy this rundown of my favourite Yuletide entertainment this year. There’s also a video to go with this post too. And don’t forget to check out my other Christmas posts & lists if this isn’t enough for you.

The nights have drawn in and there’s much more of a nip in the air, so at this time of year it can be very tempting to stay indoors where it’s warm and dry and cosy. But not me. The wintry weather hasn’t stopped me getting out and about as much as ever, so November was pretty busy.
I think it was especially nice to relax having got my charity abseil out of the way. Finally getting the blog post and video up for that at the start of November was a nice way to wrap it all up. Donations are still possible and very welcome though, and thank you to the Nystagmus Network for giving me another shoutout as well!
So here’s my latest monthly recap for November, including visits to theatre shows, comedy clubs and museums, and other bits and pieces. There’s also an accompanying video as per usual. I hope you enjoy!

We’re deep into autumn now, with Christmas edging ever closer. And now that we’re well into the penultimate month of the year, it’s time for a look back at October to see what I got up to.
The major event, of course, was my charity abseil for nystagmus research, and you can find out all about it in my epic blog post and video. There are lots of photos and video highlights from the day, especially from the headcam I was wearing during my descent. So do go and check all of that out. Huge thanks to everyone who sponsored me, and you can still donate until 23 March 2019.
But there were still other bits and pieces going on during October as well. So I’m going to tell you about them here, and there’s also a video to go with this post as usual. I hope you enjoy my latest recap!

I enjoy doing Q&A tag posts, whether they’re disability related or on other topics, as they’re a nice way to connect with other bloggers so we can get to know each other better, and it’s also lovely to be invited to participate in them.
And this time around, appropriately for summer, I’ve been very kindly nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award. This award is given by bloggers to other bloggers, to recognise and celebrate the creativity, positivity and inspiration in their work.
So to be nominated just once by anybody is a great honour. But over the last few weeks I’ve been nominated THREE times, which is extremely flattering! So thank you very much indeed to Holly (Life of a Blind Girl), Luke Sam Sowden & Carol (The Invisible Vision Project), it’s very generous of you all to nominate me! They’ve all asked completely different questions too, which is wonderful. So I hope you enjoy reading my answers to them all.

After a very eventful and successful 2017, I’ve been looking forward to seeing what 2018 would bring. And this year I want to try and get into the habit of doing monthly favourites posts, so you can get a good overview of what I’ve been enjoying, both out and about and at home. That way I can cover little things that I wouldn’t otherwise mention, as well as the bigger stuff that I’ve written longer posts on, which I’ll link to here.
So this is the first post, for January. This month I’ve been mostly doing things indoors given the cold weather outside. So I’ve been going out to various museums, and have also been to the theatre, while at home I’ve been watching a couple of the DVD sets I bought last year, to catch up on those. And I’m also making an effort to start listening to more audiobooks this year, as I only did one in 2017, which was bad of me (although, to be fair, book-reading wasn’t top of my to-do list having just moved to a huge city!).
So I’ve been keeping myself entertained in various ways, and I hope you enjoy this post and video recap of the month!

As well as having adventures in London, I’ve also been enjoying lots of TV shows, radio programmes, podcasts, films and music this year. And yet I’ve only wrote about some of it. So I wanted to bring that side of things up to date. Then in 2018 I want to start doing monthly favourites posts, like other bloggers do.
I’ve also done a video on this topic as well, although this post will mention a few things that I forgot to mention in that clip too.
Be aware that this generally doesn’t include anything I watched over Christmas (with a couple of notable exceptions), as there’s going to be a separate post about my Christmas favourites from this year. I’ll also be doing a separate post listing the DVDs I’ve bought during the year, as I haven’t done an update on those for ages, so this post won’t mention those either.
So I hope you enjoy looking through this list of what I’ve enjoyed during 2017. Feel free to let me know your favourites too!
