This page contains a list of museums, galleries and historic buildings I’ve visited in London and the UK. Click the name of each exhibition or tour to see my reviews and mentions.
In many cases I’ve enjoyed audio described tours, handling sessions and workshops, which help me to understand and enjoy exhibitions in a more accessible way given my limited eyesight. These have taken place with the aid of staff from VocalEyes or London Vision – other audio describers, museum curators and audio recordings.
See the VocalEyes What’s On list for details of upcoming tours. Many museums also have access information on their websites as well.
When audio description isn’t available, I use large print guides if available, along with my monocular (a small telescope) and my iPhone to look at things more closely.
