The Name Of The Game

One of the things I’ve particularly enjoyed getting into since moving to London are a variety of social gaming and quizzing events. They’ve proven to be a great way to meet new people, have a good laugh and get your brain working. They’ve all been easy and relatively simple games – I haven’t got into any complicated strategy games or things like that. Just events where you can relax and have a good laugh.

So I’ve been enjoying games with a few different groups, and have had quite a selection during this past week alone. So I thought I’d highlight some of the things I’ve been playing lately.

Journal – May 2006

April 2021 Introduction:

Welcome to another bumper set of entries from my old journal. This was a very busy month, as I had 3 trips away – attending a Mac training course in Manchester, staying with a friend in Exeter to play at a quiz night, and spending a week in Bournemouth with a couple of mates. And at home I was continuing to make good use of our new broadband connection, while the new series of Doctor Who was starting on TV. So there’s a lot to mention this time, I hope you enjoy it!

Journal – May 2003

September 2020 Introduction:

Here we go again, with another bundle of journal posts I had on the old Bolt site. My time was mainly spent revising for my upcoming exams, but I found time to write about other things too, including an IQ test on TV, the most recent Bond film, a list of the worst Britons, and that infamous Eurovision performance that earned the UK “nul points”.
