Journal – October-November 2007

August 2021 Introduction:

Welcome to another set of old journal entries. October was fairly quiet, but I did meet a friend in Exeter, which was nice. Then I had a couple of nice trips away during November, visiting my Nan in London for her 100th birthday, and then a friend at Bournemouth University for his much younger birthday!

I took lots of photos while I was in London, a selection of which you’ll see below, along with an unusual photo of me from Bournemouth too. They were taken on my new Nokia 6300 phone, so the quality is rather inferior compared to modern phone cameras. But I hope you like them, and that you enjoy this latest selection of entries overall!

July 2021 Introduction:

Here we go with another batch of old journal entries. During these weeks I had a nice little break in Bournemouth, and a couple of trips to Exeter to meet the friends I was preparing to go to Spain with. And with that upcoming trip in mind, I’ve also included the first entry from May, so that my next post can be dedicated exclusively to my overseas adventure. So I hope you enjoy!

Journal – February 2007

July 2021 Introduction:

Here’s another month of entries from my old journals. The big event this time was a trip to Blackpool with my visually impaired friend from Bournemouth University, to give him assistance at the National Union of Students Conference. Plus I had another of my regular trips to see a friend in Exeter. And I mentioned various other little things as always. So I hope you enjoy!

June 2021 Introduction:

This is one of my longest journal updates for a while. This month was particularly busy, because I had a holiday in Bournemouth with some friends, my Dad had an eye operation, I ordered a new TV, and we had a complicated job to do at work that I decided to write about. Plus there are mentions of DVDs, news stories and other bits and pieces as usual. So I hope you enjoy!

April 2021 Introduction:

Welcome to another bumper set of entries from my old journal. This was a very busy month, as I had 3 trips away – attending a Mac training course in Manchester, staying with a friend in Exeter to play at a quiz night, and spending a week in Bournemouth with a couple of mates. And at home I was continuing to make good use of our new broadband connection, while the new series of Doctor Who was starting on TV. So there’s a lot to mention this time, I hope you enjoy it!

March 2021 Introduction:

Here’s another month of entries from my old journal. This time I had a lot of fun visiting my best mate to celebrate his 21st birthday, so that was the main thing to report on. I was also assessed for support I might be able to get for work because of my visual impairment, there were lots of DVDs coming out in the run up to Christmas that I was keen to get, and we had Children In Need and other delights on TV. So there’s a variety of things here as usual, and I hope you enjoy!

Journal – January 2004

October 2020 Introduction:

We’ve made it to another year in my series of journal posts from the old Bolt social media site. And 2004 was a particularly significant one for me, with the conclusion of my university studies and my subsequent search for a job. But that’s all still to come, as we need to get through the first half of the year before we reach that new chapter in my life.

This month I stayed with a friend at Bournemouth University for a few days, continued my own studies at Exeter University including another exam, got addicted to another video game, and bought a few more DVDs. Plus there’s another top 100 list, for which I take no responsibility if you willingly explore the links and come away with any unwanted earworms. So let’s crack on with it, and I hope you enjoy!
