Here we go with another year of posts from my journal. As is often the case each year, January and February have been pretty quiet, so I’ve combined them together. There isn’t a lot to talk about, but there has been a bit of socialising with friends in Exeter, some building work going on at home, more DVDs for my collection, and other random bits and pieces of news. So I hope you enjoy!

Journal – December 2005
Time to finish off another year from my journal, and there’s a lot packed into this latest collection of entries, including updates about my Access To Work support, meeting up with friends, our first look at digital TV, more DVD and music purchases, and news stories that have caught my eye. Plus of course there’s plenty of talk about Christmas. So I hope you enjoy!

Here’s another month of entries from my journal. This time I’ve had a lot of fun visiting my best mate to celebrate his 21st birthday, plus I’ve been assessed for support I might be able to get for work because of my visual impairment. There have also been lots of DVDs coming out in the run up to Christmas that I’ve been keen to get, and we’ve had Children In Need and other delights on TV. So there’s a variety of things here as usual, and I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to the next set of entries from my personal journal. Things have been much calmer this month, as I now have job security with my new permanent position at the Council. It means I’m able to get much more support as a visually impaired employee. And there are various other bits and pieces to mention about things I’ve been buying, things that have caught my eye in the news, the loss of a comedy legend, a few technical mishaps, and a day trip to London with a couple of colleagues for a trade show. So I hope you enjoy!

We’ve reached another significant month in my life with these journal entries, as I’ve learnt the outcome of my first ever job interview! Hurricane Katrina has also embarked on its path of destruction in America, and so given its inevitable dominance in the news it would have been remiss not to mention it. And amongst the various bits of entertainment I’ve been buying, watching and listening to, ITV have been celebrating their 50th anniversary, including a rundown of their top 50 shows. So I hope you enjoy this latest mixture!

After the madness of July, this month has been much calmer and happier, though still busy with plenty to talk about. My main focus has been preparing for my first ever job interview, which took place at the end of the month. And I celebrated another birthday by getting a combination VHS, DVD & Hard Drive recorder, along with various DVDs and music purchases as well. So I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to another set of my journal entries. It’s fair to say this has been a month of mixed fortunes for the UK, particularly in London, and especially in the first week when so much happened in quick succession. Despite being so far away in Devon, the events were so significant and dominated the news so heavily that it was natural to write a lot about them.
On the one hand London hosted one of the massive worldwide Live 8 concerts, that gave us a lot of entertainment while sending an important message. Plus the city won the bid to host the 2012 Olympics, which was fantastic news. But all of that was quickly overshadowed by the bomb attacks on London’s transport network. And if reading about those is likely to upset you, then please feel free to skip some or all of this post as you feel necessary.
There are little updates about me in amongst all of that as well though, relating to my career and entertainment, and there are other bits of news too. So even though some of this isn’t cheerful, I hope you find it interesting nonetheless.

This has been a very busy month. At the end of May I was invited to spend a week with a couple of friends of mine in Exeter, while I was taking a bit of well-earned holiday from work. So that’s where we start off here, and there’s lots to mention about the various ways we enjoyed ourselves. Then there’s the usual mix of job updates, entertainment and other bits and bobs as well. So I hope you enjoy looking through it all!
