DVD & Blu-Ray Collection Update 2017

With everything else going on in 2017, I never got around to posting about the new DVDs and Blu-rays that I purchased during the year. So in this post and video, I want to give a quick update on the newest titles in my collection. And then, during 2018, I want to try and get into the habit of doing a monthly favourites post, about things I’ve bought and seen in general.

So I hope you enjoy this update and that there are things in here you enjoy too. And if there’s other stuff you think I should check out, feel free to let me know!

2017 Review – Christmas Favourites

Happy New Year everybody! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, and that 2018 is a joyful and prosperous year for you. 🙂

I’m very much looking forward to the year ahead after an eventful and successful 2017, which you can read about in my 2017 review post. I posted quite a bit over the holiday period in fact, including my entertainment favourites for the year, and a big Christmas Q&A about how I spend Christmas in general, with photos and video footage of me enjoying Christmas as a child. So do go back and check my recent posts if you were busy celebrating and missed them.

For this post I just wanted to quickly bring you up to date with how my Christmas went. I’ve also filmed a video to go with this, which has my general reflections on 2017 as well. If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ll have seen some of the photos I posted over Christmas – and I’m going to try and make more use of Instagram this year if I can as well. So I hope you enjoy my little Christmas update, tying up the loose ends before I enjoy the year ahead!

2017 Review – Entertainment Favourites

As well as having adventures in London, I’ve also been enjoying lots of TV shows, radio programmes, podcasts, films and music this year. And yet I’ve only wrote about some of it. So I wanted to bring that side of things up to date. Then in 2018 I want to start doing monthly favourites posts, like other bloggers do.

I’ve also done a video on this topic as well, although this post will mention a few things that I forgot to mention in that clip too.

Be aware that this generally doesn’t include anything I watched over Christmas (with a couple of notable exceptions), as there’s going to be a separate post about my Christmas favourites from this year. I’ll also be doing a separate post listing the DVDs I’ve bought during the year, as I haven’t done an update on those for ages, so this post won’t mention those either.

So I hope you enjoy looking through this list of what I’ve enjoyed during 2017. Feel free to let me know your favourites too!

The Last Leg

Following on from my post about being in the audience for Mock The Week on Tuesday night, I was also lucky enough to have a ticket for Channel 4’s The Last Leg on Friday night as well. Out of both the shows this week, this was the one I was looking forward to the most. So, as with Mock The Week, I wanted to tell you a bit about my experience there, without giving away too many TV secrets. Again, this is also discussed in my video about Being In A TV Audience.

Mock The Week

This Tuesday I got to be in the audience for the BBC’s Mock The Week, which is recorded at the ITV Studios – go figure! I’ve never been in a TV audience before, so I was looking forward to what I hoped would be an amazing experience. And it was! And it was great to watch it back on BBC2 this evening as well. So I thought I’d tell you a bit about it, without giving away any secrets or spoilers for those who also want to go to the show.

It should be obvious, but I will make it clear that this post isn’t sponsored in any way by anyone involved with the show. Nobody’s asked me to do this, I just wanted to relate my experience.

This is also discussed in my video about Being In A TV Audience.
