Live Comedy

For most of the live comedy titles in My DVD & Blu-Ray Collection, I’ve purchased audio versions where possible, or converted the DVD video into audio form, because they still generally work that way. It’s only visual gags that get lost, but there usually aren’t many of those, and I already know what they are having seen the DVDs already.

Comedy Compilation

I’ve also put together an audiobook album of some spoken word comedy tracks that I’ve acquired from compilation albums or online, to keep them all together (musical comedy tracks are in my music collection).

  • Billy Connolly:
    • The Casual Vomit
  • Bob Newhart:
    • Driving Instructor
    • Introducing Tobacco To Civilization
  • Emma Clarke:
    • London Underground Spoof Announcements
  • Eugene Mirman:
    • Hidden Track
  • Jasper Carrott:
    • The Mole
    • Scunthorpe Baths
  • Joyce Grenfell:
    • Nursery School (George, Don’t Do That)
  • Lenny Henry:
    • Blackpool To Jamaica
    • Delbert Wilkins
  • Max Miller:
    • I Like The Girls Who Do
  • Michael Bentine:
    • Football Results
  • Morecambe & Wise:
    • Grieg’s Piano Concerto
  • Peter Cook:
    • Lord Cobbold
    • One Leg Too Few
  • Smith & Jones:
    • Bob Geldof
    • Richard Branson
  • Stephen Fry:
    • Harry Potterotica. A really clever edit that someone did of Fry’s audiobook narration, that I found on Youtube. Wrong on many levels, but hilarious.

  • Michael McIntyre:
    • Life & Laughing (his autobiography)
  • Michel Thomas:
    • Spanish Foundation Course (I got this before going on a couple of holidays to Spain years ago, and it’s very good even if I have forgotten it all now!)
  • No Such Thing As A Fish:
    • The Audiobook Of The Year
  • Peter Scott:
    • Sounds Of The Serengeti (an inherited vinyl album that I converted to digital)
  • Stephen Fry:
    • Fry’s English Delight – Complete Series 1 & 2

  • Queen:
    • Absolute Greatest Hits (Track commentaries)

  • Motown The Musical
  • The Mousetrap
  • Open House Weekend 2017

Museum Tours

These are audio introductions or audio description tours for exhibitions I’ve visited, or intend to visit:

Walking Tours

Some audio walking tours can be downloaded and taken with you as MP3s. So I’ve downloaded a few of them in case I want to do them, and they work as books in their own right to be honest. I haven’t done these tours yet, but they are on my to-do list.
