Following on from my review of the Harry Potter Studio Tour, in this post and video I want to show you the merchandise I bought in relation to it.
Up until now, I only owned the audiobooks, the Ultimate Edition Blu-rays (which replaced earlier DVD version of the films I had), and downloads of the film soundtracks. So this is the first time I’ve really got into buying Harry Potter themed stuff apart from that – with one slight exception that I’ll mention later, but basically I’ve never bought any other merchandise before.
There’s so much to buy in relation to the tour, so I did end up spending quite a bit. But it’s worth it to get some unique and special souvenirs. Some of the items I bought at the attraction on the day, and some I bought later from their online store, because there was no way I could carry everything I wanted home from the tour, and there were a few things I couldn’t find in the gift shop there anyway. So I hope you enjoy seeing all the things that I bought.

Harry Potter has been cropping up with some regularity in my London itinerary over recent months. Back in October I saw The Cursed Child at the theatre, complete with a touch tour on stage and audio description during the show, which was amazing, And shortly after that I did the Tour For Muggles, which was a very enjoyable walking tour around filming locations in London. And now this month I’ve also had a couple of things booked into my diary, including the British Library’s History Of Magic exhibition that I’ll be going to very soon.
But last weekend I did something which trumps all of that in the Harry Potter stakes – the Warner Bros Studio Tour – The Making Of Harry Potter. So in this post and video I’m going to tell you all about my experience, including some of my thoughts from an accessibility perspective.
I’ve also been posting photos on my Instagram during the week, and I’ve now uploaded a nmore extensive Facebook album as well. I’ve also posted a video showing the footage I recorded at the studios, and I’ve made a haul post about the merchandise I bought there. So I’ve got plenty to get through, and I hope you enjoy looking through it all!

As well as having adventures in London, I’ve also been enjoying lots of TV shows, radio programmes, podcasts, films and music this year. And yet I’ve only wrote about some of it. So I wanted to bring that side of things up to date. Then in 2018 I want to start doing monthly favourites posts, like other bloggers do.
I’ve also done a video on this topic as well, although this post will mention a few things that I forgot to mention in that clip too.
Be aware that this generally doesn’t include anything I watched over Christmas (with a couple of notable exceptions), as there’s going to be a separate post about my Christmas favourites from this year. I’ll also be doing a separate post listing the DVDs I’ve bought during the year, as I haven’t done an update on those for ages, so this post won’t mention those either.
So I hope you enjoy looking through this list of what I’ve enjoyed during 2017. Feel free to let me know your favourites too!

Time for another catch-up on what I’ve been doing lately, and with this past week including Halloween, it was only fitting that I did a couple more things to celebrate the occasion, following on from the Ghost Bus Tour I did the previous week But I’ve also been to a couple of other things too that aren’t related to it. All in all, I’ve been entertained at a museum, the cinema and the theatre, and tried another dining experience that’s new to me. So I’ve had a nice bit of variety, and I hope you enjoy reading about it.

During the past week I’ve been on a couple of very enjoyable tours, including my first bus tour here in London. There are no spoilers here, as I don’t want to give away any surprises. I just wanted to write a little review of each tour, as I do recommend going on them.

In this post and video I’m going to discuss my first experiences with audio description in London, for museums, galleries, theatre shows, cinema screenings and walking tours.

If you don’t know what that title means, it’s because of the date – May the 4th be with you. 🙂
There are a few things I wanted to mention in this post. Firstly, I wanted to note that I’ve been writing this blog for a few months now, and therefore take the opportunity to say thank you to those who have been reading, commenting, liking and following this collection of randomness so far. It’s my first foray into blogging, and I’m not trying to do anything fancy or change the world with it. I mainly just felt inspired to share some of my experiences, thoughts, favourite things, etc, having enjoyed the blogs and Youtube videos of various others. If it interests and entertains people, then that’s awesome. I have been jotting down ideas for various posts I could do here, meaning there’s potential for me to keep wittering on for some time yet!
I’ve also been very flattered to get a mention in two other blogs in the space of a week recently – Life of a Blind Girl and Luke Sam Sowden. Thank you so much to Holly and Luke for including me in their lists of recommended bloggers, that’s really very kind of you! 🙂
