Last night I had my first ever vegetarian meal at the Redemption Bar in Shoreditch. And I had the privilege of dining there in the company of the vivacious Emily Davison from Fashioneyesta, this being our third meeting together. And we had a lovely time.
Emily looked stunning as per usual, and you can see a detailed description and photos of her outfit and makeup in her blog post about the day.

Although the Open House VocalEyes tours I did last weekend were great fun, the highlight of the weekend came on Sunday evening, when I got to meet the exquisite Emily Davison from Fashioneyesta for the second time. If you missed it, our first meeting was at Knole Park on the August Bank Holiday Monday (which Emily vlogged as well).
This time, the plan was to have something to eat and then go on a Jack The Ripper walking tour. And we had a lovely time.

Someone seems to be rather keen to pose as Santander at the moment. Over the past couple of weeks, my Junk filter has picked up 4 emails – the latest 2 being just a day apart. They’re all coming from the same place too, and have a lot in common. Indeed, the latter 3 emails are practically identical, they mainly just have different links.
They’re all claiming there’s been a security issue with my account, so I need to verify myself. They all have from addresses with the same domain. They all have links constructed in a very similar way, with subtle differences. And the formatting and grammar of the body text isn’t great in parts. So I’ll show you the text of the emails, and then highlight why they’re obviously nonsense. And don’t forget you can check out all of my scam email posts to see other examples I’ve highlighted.

Last weekend was the Open House London weekend, where hundreds of buildings across the capital opened their doors for free for the public to look around and take part in talks and tours. These include many places that you might never have heard of or never considered visiting before. Some of the places also do tours during the rest of the year, but you may have to pay for them, whereas on this weekend they’re free. And some places may rarely grant public access at all, so this may be the only opportunity you get to look around. So it’s a great initiative that’s been running for 25 years now, and the volunteers who help to make it happen deserve thanks and praise for their work.
As part of this event, the team at VocalEyes arranged special audio described tours of 4 different buildings for visually impaired people. I went on 3 of them (I didn’t do the 4th as I had something else planned). It was my first time going to an Open House weekend, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for it next year. So here’s my summary of the tours I went on.

September is proving to be the busiest month of the year so far, and in a good way. So I’m having to do a few posts in quick succession to catch up with various bits and pieces. I’ve already posted about the music and drama day I did a couple of weeks ago, and now I want to tell you a bit about my visits to Guildford and The Royal Academy Of Arts, and my holiday to Guernsey.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a music and drama day with East London Vision, at the Theatre Royal in Stratford. I haven’t done either of those things since school, so this was going to be something very different for me. But I felt sure it would be fun and interesting to try it out, especially as I was with a group of people I got on well with. And I was right, it was a really enjoyable day.

Following on from my Def Leppard Hysteria boxset review, I now want to do a review of the 50th anniversary box set of the Beatles album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. This follows on from the unboxing video that I did of the set recently.

In this post I want to look at another couple of dodgy emails I’ve received recently, as I feel it’s important just to keep reminding people about them. Click here to see all of my scam email posts so far. I’ve also posted a video about them now as well, looking at these two emails and the previous ones I’ve mentioned here in the blog. So check that out as well in case it’s helpful.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that one of my favourite Youtubers is Fashioneyesta, aka Emily Davison. And this Monday I actually got to meet her and spend the day with her, much to my delight. She’s now posted a wonderful vlog of the day on her FashioneyestaExtra channel, so I wanted to blog about it from my own perspective as well.
